WI Medicaid-Incorrect Claim Denials

Infinedi, LLC has been informed that WI Medicaid (Forward Health) has identified a system error resulting in incorrect claim denials for laboratory services billing for procedure codes payable under the federal Deficit Reduction Act (DRA). The denials are showing up on the Remittance Advice with Explanation of Benefits (EOB) code 0166, the procedure code billed not payable. The issue has been corrected and claims that were incorrectly denied for EOB 0166 will be reprocessed by the payer and paid.
