Rhode Island Blue Cross Blue Shield NPI Only

Infinedi has been notified that Rhode Island Blue Cross Blue Shield is starting the transition to NPI only for all electronic claims. Beginning May 1, 2008, we will transmit NPI only on all outbound electronic claims for this payer. No legacy numbers will be sent.

Provider Action:

Monitor your Q- Reports for any NPI discrepancy errors. If you do receive the discrepancy errors, please verify through NPPES and your local BCBS that you have registered your NPI (s) correctly.
