KS, NE, MO and IA Medicare-New Medicare Administrative Contractor Jurisdiction 5

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has announced that Wisconsin Physicians Service Insurance Corporation (WPS) has been awarded the Medicare contract to provide Part A and Part B administrative services for the states of Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska.

Provider Action:

Infinedi LLC will be releasing detailed implementation plans and information as it becomes approved and available. Do not change your payer name or address in your practice management system until conversion to the new contractor is complete.

To prepare for the transition, we encourage providers to register for the J5 MAC Implementation News listserv as well as the state-specific e-News for their service area from the J5 MAC Web site at http://www.wpsmedicare.com/mac/transition/trans_info.shtml By registering for e-News, providers will receive the latest information on J5 MAC implementation activities and all new process updates or changes. Jurisdiction-wide information will be shared in the J5 MAC Implementation News listserv as often as is needed, with state-specific information included in the state-specific listservs.
