To All Infinedi Clients,
In December of 2010, Infinedi began the process to make revisions to our processing system to comply with the HIPAA version 5010 rules. In March of 2011, we began testing with insurance payers that indicated that they were ready to start the testing process. In August of 2011, we began to process claims to the limited number of payers that were compliant and accepting version 5010 format.
On January 1, 2012 Infinedi fully implemented the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) version 5010 in accordance with the federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) rules with all of the payers that were accepting version 5010 formats. By March 31, 2012, Infinedi had been tested and certified by 99% of the payers and gateways that are utilized by Infinedi. Effective April 1, 2012, all of the electronic claims that are submitted to Infinedi by providers, regardless of inbound format, are processed and translated to the current HIPAA version 5010 format.
Many Insurance and CMS processors provide a list of approved vendors. This list is too great to publish, but in many cases can be Googled on the internet with the search text of: Infinedi approved vendor
