Blue Cross/Blue Shield of IL, NM, OK, and TX- New Chiropractic Edit for Initial Treatment Date

Effective 05/07/2012 Infinedi will activate a Blue Cross/Blue Shield edit on chiropractic claims to make sure they contain an initial treatment date.  This is now required by Blue Cross/Blue Shield on all chiropractic claims.  If your claim does not contain this information you will receive the following reject message:

 

 

Need Initial Treatment Date (Box 14) for Chiropractors

 

Provider Action:

·         If you are sending print image make sure initial treatment date in Box 14.

·         If you are sending ANSI 837P please make sure you send the DTP454 in Loop 2300.
