If you are submitting facility information in Box 32/Loop 2310D you must submit the facility name, address, city, state, zip and NPI. If you are not submitting all the information then you would have received the following warning message from Wellmark BCBS of Iowa:
Warning: National Provider ID Required, Loop 2310D
This warning message will turn to rejects in the near future. The facility information in Box32/Loop 2310D is not a required field unless services were rendered in a facility outside of the office.
Infinedi has put a new edit in place for Wellmark BCBS claims that will reject the claim if the full facility information is not submitted.
Please watch your Infinedi audit report for the following error message:
Error: This payer requires a valid Facility Address AND NPI
If you receive this error message you will need to correct the missing or invalid information in your practice management system and resubmit the claim.
