Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Virginia (Anthem) had identified that some Participating PPO claims submitted on December 31, 2009 were rejected erroneously. The impacted claims, with valid dates, appeared on the January 2nd Level 3 Adjudicated Claims Responses with error number 0126. A temporary solution has been put in place to prevent any additional inaccurate rejections.
Anthem is currently analyzing how to best handle the claims that were mistakenly rejected; an update will be provided as soon as possible.
