CMS Medicare Notice: 10 Day Hold of 2010 MPFS Claims

CMS Medicare has issued a statement regarding the holding of claims for services paid under the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule (MPFS) for up to the first 10 business days of January (January 1 through January 15) for 2010 dates of service. As per the notice, provider cash flow should not be impacted due to the clean claim/14 day payment floor policy already in place at Medicare.

                                                  

Infinedi will continue normal transmission of claims and is not involved in the holding of Medicare MPFS claims.

As always, providers may transmit claims to Infinedi 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  For more information on this issue, providers may contact their local Medicare Part B contractor or access the CMS link provided.
